Busy lately.

I recently started my yearly volunteer work at our local theater. We're doing "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever" and I'm working as stage manager. I'm busy with this most nights of the week, so my blog may be just a tad slow here for a little while. I'll pick back up soon, though!

I hope my readers are doing very well. <3 :)

1) If you were stranded on an island and you could only order take out once, what restaurant would you order from?
 Burger King!

2) If you had a backstage pass to meet any band/singer in the world, who it be?
 Regina Spektor. :)

3) What was your favorite TV show when you were three?
 Mickey Mouse, I would assume.

4) Pick a song that describes you or the situation you're in as of right now.
Goodness, what?! I listen to classical music... umm??

5) Post a picture of your favorite shoes:)

6) If you could create a new word to put in the dictionary, what would it be?
Vhat?! Kind of like "what", but in a vampire way.

7) Are you a rush, rush, rush kinda person, or do you stop and smell the roses?
It just really depends on what needs to be done. If I need to rush, I can and that's fine. But I like to go slow sometimes, when the moment allows.

8) When you meet Jesus, what's the first thing you want to do?
I think about this a lot. I've prayed and asked that as soon as I see Him for the first time, He'll show me the nail prints in His hands. Even if I forget, I know He'll remember. And when I get discouraged I just remember that everything will be worth it when I can finally see those scars.

I love winter!

After commenting over at the Stay at Home Daughter's Fellowship ( ) it made me realize just how excited I am about the arrival of winter! I thought I would share a few winter-y pictures with you, just because. :)

The Great Sewing Expedition.

So maybe the title is a little dramatic, but over the past couple of days I have been able to purchase some super pretty fabric! I've done a little sewing before, but I've decided that I really want to get good at it and start making things by hand. (My wonderful mom even told me that if I can get good at it, she'll let me start an etsy. :] ) I wanted to share the fabrics with you, because they are just so lovely!

Can you tell I like toile? ;)

And this is my first pillow, ever haha.
I admit I may be slightly over excited about this, but I think this is going to be a hobby I really love. :)

Remember to go vote today!
It is one of the most patriotic acts for a US Citizen.
Your vote DOES count,
and your voice WILL be heard if
you will only share it!

Our forefathers had to take up arms to have freedom, we simply have to go to the polls and vote for it.

This is my history/art themed tumblr -- just wanted to share. :)

Setting up a daily routine.

In my first few days of "Stay at Home Daughter" endeavors, it became very clear that my schedule was really out of whack. I was staying up extremely late, sleeping in all morning... wandering around not getting things done, etc etc. I knew this needed to change if I was ever going to start being productive.

So last night before I went to bed (at 10:30, seriously early compared to normal) I wrote out a list of things I wanted to do everyday. Starting at 6:30am I wake up and shower/get ready, then Bible study, Breakfast, Piano, French (God help me), some kind of craft/project, house cleaning, leisure reading, and then history. That all adds up and lasts until about five in the evening.

I know it may seem so silly to schedule everything like that, but I really feel like I need to discipline myself to follow a routine, especially when I would much rather just snooze all day. I think this will really help me to be productive and meet some goals that I have set. Even the leisure reading. If I don't force myself to do things like that, it's easy to just say, "Oh I'll read some later" and then I never do it.

So here we are, my next step at this whole "Growing up" thing. Do you have some feedback? Does anyone else have a routine that they follow? :)
